What is PU leather
The most typical method of producing this popular PU leather is to apply a layer of polyurethane to an artificial substrate, generally made of polyester, to offer strength and resilience to the final result. However, PU leather is occasionally blended with actual leather remains as a basis to create what is known as "double-cast leather" or " bicast leather." Finally, while PU leather looks and feels like real leather, it is characterized by its smell, lightness, and lack of strength to strain and twisting. It does, however, have certain advantages that we will examine later, such as its resistance to water and sunlight, which explains why it is frequently used in the development of interior goods or car accessories. The method of producing PU leather is now well established and widely utilized around the world in a variety of sectors. This technique makes extensive use of chemicals, particularly petroleum compounds. The PU leather production process is divided into four major steps: 1- The first step is to pour a polymer solution onto a paper base that has been treated with a coating of silicone. The mixture is compacted and uniformed by passing it through hot rollers. 2- The second stage is pouring a second polymer solution containing an emulsifier, or "riser," and then passing the whole thing through the oven, which causes the second layer of polymer to expand. 3- The third phase is gluing a layer of cotton and polyester mixture on top of the previous three layers, giving strength and solidity to the combination. 4- The fourth stage involves pouring a resin solution over the entire object before pressing it to replicate the natural texture of real leather. 
How to identify pu leather
The answer is generally on the label of the goods you're buying these days. As previously said, if the following phrases are marked, you can be certain that it is synthetic leather: "bicast," "bonded," "PU," "reconstituted," "split," and so on. However, certain items do not always include this information. So knowing how to detect the difference between different types of leather is essential. there are several strategies for distinguishing between real and fake leather. 1- Overall Appearance: Examine the grain of the leather. If it is "too flawless," too clean, and has an artificial gloss, it is most likely fake leather. Genuine leather is supple, with some flaws (veins, scars, and blemishes), and has a natural and varied grain. 2- The Smell: Take a smell of your goods. If it smells strongly of plastic or chemicals, it is most likely fake leather. This plastic odor is most noticeable when the product is new. If you're dealing with used goods, the smell will most likely have diminished, making it more difficult to detect the difference. 3- The Water Test: If you have any worries about a product you just purchased, place a drop of water on the surface of the item and wait a few minutes. It is fake leather if the drop has not been absorbed. Genuine leather will absorb water in a few minutes. 4- Friction Test: This test may be performed on a purchased item. Examine what occurs as you fold the leather between your fingers. A genuine leather will retain a trace of your activity, whereas a fake leather will soon return to it’s original shape. 
Is PU leather vegan?
PU leather is a 100% vegan leather in its original form because it is simply made up of a variety of artificial chemicals (polyester, polyurethane). However, there is now a large range of PU leather available, and not all of them are fully constituted of chemicals. To attempt to be comprehensive, below is a list of the several leathers that are frequently (incorrectly) labeled as "PU leather": Bicast Leather Split Leather Bonded Leather / Reconstituted Leather Corrected Grain Leather Many of these leathers are not synthetic and are the result of various manufacturing procedures including animal materials: Bicast leather is a leather created from a split leather basis coated with an embossed coating of polyurethane or vinyl. Split Leather: The skin of the animal is divided into multiple layers; cow leather can be up to 10 millimeters thick. The ensuing layers are known as grain split, top grain split, and flesh split. Glued leather is a blend of genuine and faux leather created from scraps and fibers, mixed with an artificial binder, most commonly polyurethane, and then bonded to a paper backing. Most bonded leathers include only 10-20% genuine leather. Corrected Grain Leather is a natural leather that has undergone extensive treatment (sanding and polishing) to remove as many of the skin's natural defects as feasible (scars, grains, veins) 
PU leather advantages
The Benefits of PU Leather: The following are the primary advantages of PU leather over genuine leather: — Due to the origin of its ingredients and the production technique, PU leather is much less expensive than natural leather (especially if it is of high quality). — PU leather is a waterproof material that does not absorb water due to its non-porous nature, making maintenance and cleaning easier. With a clear mind, you can walk for hours in the rain. — When 100% PU leather is utilized, it is a vegan leather that does not contain any animal components and thus solves obvious ethical problems. — PU leather is extremely versatile in terms of shape, texture, thickness, and color. Your imagination is the only limit (and your budget). — Because PU leather is not organic, it does not alter or degrade over time. It does not require the same level of upkeep as genuine leather over time. — PU leather is more resistant to the sun and its UV rays than real leather, which is why it is commonly used on items that are frequently exposed to the sun.
