9. A solution for the officials of the Islamic Republic and the noble people of Iran
I want to offer guidance from the Book of God and the Ahl al-Bayt to the officials of the Islamic Republic and the honorable and noble people of Iran, who are concerned about whether to make peace with the United States or not during these times.
The Book of God is before you, which says:
"So do not falter or cry for peace, for you will have the upper hand and Allah is with you." Surah Muhammad, Ayah 35
I have highlighted five important words in this verse, each in a different color.
Now, I want to share a narration from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him), which comes from very reliable books and is referenced by Shia scholars, so no one can doubt its authenticity.
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:
"Do not abandon trade, lest you become insignificant. Engage in trade, for God will bless you with it." (Meaning of the hadith)
I have also highlighted this hadith with five colors, and I will explain each of them.
First, I will present the sources of this hadith to show how strong its authenticity is.
The scholars of Shia jurisprudence consider four books to be the most important among all the hadith books, which are called the "Four Major Books" of the Imami sect.
These four books are:
Al-Kafi – by Al-Kulayni
Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih – by Al-Shaykh al-Saduq
Tahdhib al-Ahkam – by Shaykh Tusi
Al-Istibsar – by Shaykh Tusi
The narration is found in the first three of these major Shia books.
Al-Kafi, Volume 5, page 149, Chapter on the Superiority of Trade over Other Professions
Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Volume 3, page 193, Chapter on Livelihood, Trade, and its Superiority and Jurisprudence
Tahdhib al-Ahkam, Volume 6, page 326, and Volume 7, Chapter on the Superiority of Trade over Other Professions, Hadith No. 7
In addition to these three main Shia books, this narration is also found in the following books, which are also considered reliable by Shia scholars:
Mir'at al-Uqul Fi Sharh Akhbar al-Rasul, by Allama Majlisi, Volume 7, page 319
Muntaha al-Maqsad fi Tahqiq al-Madhhab, by Allama Hilli, Volume 15, page 539
Musnad Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Qummi, by Abadi, Volume 5, page 173
Fiqh al-Shari'a, by Fazlallah, Volume 2, page 48
Muntaha al-Maqsad, by Allama Hilli, page 999
Muntaha al-Maqsad fi Tahqiq al-Madhhab, by Allama Hilli, Volume 15, page 282
Al-Mal Akhdh wa ‘Ata’ wa Sarf, by Husayni Shirazi, page 61
Al-Imam al-Sadiq wa al-Madhahib al-Arba'a, by Haider, Volume 8, page 251
Qasar al-Jumal fi al-Aqida wa al-Akhlaq wa al-‘Amal, by Miskini Ardabili, Volume 1, page 149
Mu'jam al-Mahasin wa al-Masawi, by Tajili Tabrizi, Volume 5, page 123
Musnad al-Imam al-Sadiq, by Atardi Quchani, Volume 12, page 311
Al-Shafi fi al-Aqidah wa al-Akhlaq wa al-Ahkam, by Fayz Kashani, Volume 2, page 1337
Al-Tashri' al-Islami, by Madrasi, Volume 9, page 47
Kawthar Fiqh, by Muhammadi, Volume 1, page 413
In his exegesis Al-Mizan, Allama Tabatabai also quotes this very narration under the 10th verse of Surah Al-Jumu'ah and writes:
"In addition to the verses, there is significant emphasis in the narrations of both sects (Shia and Sunni) on maximizing lawful profit. Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) says: 'Do not abandon trade, lest you become insignificant. Trade, for God will bless you with it.'"
I do not think there remains any doubt or debate regarding the authenticity of this hadith.
10. Place the Quranic verse and the Hadith of Imam Sadiq together.
"So do not falter or cry for peace, for you will have the upper hand and Allah is with you." Surah Muhammad, Ayah 35
"Do not abandon trade, lest you become insignificant. Engage in trade, for God will bless you with it." (Meaning of the hadith)
The Quranic verse says: "Do not become weak and accept the enemy's peace proposal, for you are superior, and Allah is with you."
The hadith of Imam Sadiq (AS) says: "If you abandon trade, you will become humiliated. Engage in trade, and Allah will bless you."
I will not say anything for a few moments so you can find the solution yourself, then I will write my explanations.

In the verse, it says "cry for peace."
In the hadith, it says "Do notabandon trade."
This means that if you do not accept trade, you will be forced to accept the peace and reconciliation of your enemy.
In the verse, it says "So do not falter."
In the hadith, it says "lest you become insignificant."
This means that if you do not want to be humiliated by the enemy, do not abandon trade; otherwise, your humiliation is certain.
In the verse, it says "you will have the upper hand."
In the hadith, it says "Engage in trade."
This means that if you desire the superiority you truly deserve, expose yourself to trade and its blessings.
In the verse, it says "Allah is with you."
In the hadith, it says "God will bless you with it."
This means that if you want Allah to be with you and for you, engage in trade.
And how beautifully the Prophet (PBUH) said near the end of his life:
"O people,
I leave behind two precious things among you.
The Book of Allah and my family.
As long as you hold on to these two, you will never go astray."
