You don't need deep lugs because most sandals designed for city, work, and everyday usage don't have them. Deeper tread can help sports sandals resist harder conditions. Footbed 4.4 Because sandals are often worn barefoot, it is critical to select a footbed that will be in intimate contact with the skin. Consider where you will wear your sandals, the materials you select, whether they can get wet, whether you need a non-slip sole, and so on. The footbed has a huge impact on how secure and substantial the sandal feels on the foot, and it is only one of several factors that might influence the decision. Smooth leather footbeds are normally very comfortable to wear, but they can feel a little slicker (suede is less slippery in this case). Leather should also not come into contact with water.
