Plastic production is evolving every day.
With technology progress, manufacturing process and techniques have progressed too.
The first plastic was made in 1851 by Alexander Parkes in England.
This plastic was expensive, fragile, and flammable.
They named this plastic Parkesine.
There are two types of plastic (polymer).
Thermoset and Thermoplastic.
Thermosets polymers can be made by heating up.
These types of polymers are hardened and that process can’t be reversed after being done.
Thermoset raw materials are mostly liquids that will harden after being heated.
As examples for thermosets, we can name Bakelite and Melamine.
Thermosets are suitable to use for hard and heated pressures.
For example car plastic parts, car bumpers, packaging, toys, construction tools, house and offices electric panels and containers, electric insulators, etc.
we use thermosets when we need plastics resistant to abrasions and impacts.
Thermosets are mostly being used in industries.
Thermoplastics or soft plastics are types of plastics that get soft and formable after heating up.
The thermoplastic process can get reversed.
Most of the regular plastic that we use every day is thermoplastics.
As mentioned, we can name plastic bottles, plastic bags, and plastic containers.
Plastic Manufacturing Machine
There are different methods of manufacturing plastic.
The plastic industry has evolved as new machines have been introduced.
There are three methods for manufacturing plastic products.
The first one is compression molding.
In this method, plastic sheets will be placed between the compressor jaws.
Then upper jaw will press the plastic sheet with heat.
The plastic sheet will take the desired shape under pressure and heat of the compressor machine.
This method is being used for manufacturing products like tires, disposable containers, car plastic parts, refrigerator parts, plastic safety equipment, composites, and fiber glasses.
Another method for manufacturing plastics is blow molding.
In this method first, the plastic material will be melted.
Then the melted plastic will be inserted around the mold case.
After the plastic cover around the case completely, hot air will be blown from the bottom of the case and make the plastic take the case shape.
This method is being used for plastic products with space inside them.
For example pots, vases, big water bottles, laundry bottles, soap bottles, detergents, cleaning bottles, and many other houseware products.
The third and most common method in plastic manufacturing is Injection molding.
First, the plastic will be melted inside the machine.
Then the melted plastic will be injected into the case.
Plastic will stay inside the case until it cools down.
After it got cooled and takes the shape of the mold, the machine will push out the plastic with its mechanical pins.
This method covers many industries' products.
Examples, Agriculture products, pharmaceuticals products, caps, plastic drills, cars case, packaging, wire, and cable cover, some music equipment, plastic tables and chairs, mechanical gears, etc.
Molding is the best way for mass production in the plastic industry.
Plastic Manufacturing Industry
The plastic industry has been growing more than anyone could anticipate.
the plastic industry share of all business and tradings is 5 percent.
That is 40 percent more than what predictions were saying in the past couple of years.
World plastic trading is more than 1 trillion each year.
if you are a businessman or a businesswoman or an investor or even a prospect who wants to start a business related to the plastic industry, then this article is translucid for you.
One of the biggest countries in this industry in China.
This country is producing 32 percent of plastic products in the world.
This country has exported about 86 billion dollars worth of plastic products around the world.
But this country is the number one consumer of plastic products as well.
So is china a suitable choice for purchasing and importing plastic products?.
Well, the answer is no.
as we have mentioned, China is the biggest consumer of plastic in the world.
This means they are producing the biggest plastic waste as well.
So China has to do something about these wastes.
One of the solutions is to export the waste to other countries.
But that can not cover all the plastic wastes that are being produced in the country.
The other solution would be to recycle the wastes and use them again in the production lines.
Plastics and polymers are recyclable.
Most plastic materials can be recycled up to 6 times.
Though it is advised to use recycled plastics for food and pharmaceuticals industry-related products because they can be harmful.
So the products that are being exported from China are mostly has been recycled at least once.
So there are a lot of risks related to these products.
Another problem with purchasing plastic products from China is transportation.
China is located in the East of Asia, which means if you are in the west of Asia or Europe or even Africa, the distance of the way to deliver the goods is very far.
The estimated time for a shipment from China to countries located in the west of Asia is 6 weeks.
As for Europe, it will take 6 weeks.
This will take 25 days for South Africa.
As you can see China is far away from most of the countries in the world.
Taking this long to deliver can cause disturbance and be inconveniency for your business and customers.
This far destination will increase the cost of freight and Transportation as well.
being forced to pay too much money for transportation will reduce the benefit and inflection in your final price tag.
Further distances mean further risks in transportation.
If your products going to be 6 weeks or more on the sea, the risk of hazardous accidents will rise as well.
hurricanes, typhoons, striking waves, and sea pirates are some of the risks for the long and insecure shipping transportations.
The answer for that would be the insurance companies that can ensure your products on these types of transportation. But these insurances will cost you a lot of money.
Also, Chinese prices for plastic products are expensive most of the time.
Polymer Manufacturing Process
The polymer industry and business are complicated.
The manufacturing process is not the only aspect of this field.
As we talked about it in the previous paragraph, the cost and risks are very important as well.
so according to all that we have talked about.
The best option is to order from countries in the middle east. These countries are located close to most of the countries around the world.
The price for their products is competitive.
Though if you are going to choose a company from these countries, you have t choose a professional, experienced, knowledgeable modern company.
Our company has proven itself many and many times. We have been working internationally for many years.
We are delighted to announce that we are manufacturing the best plastic products with experienced technicians and latest molding machines technology and the purest materials.
We understand the need of our dear customers.
These criteria made us a special company and we would not deliver anything less than special.
