Traders and business leaders engage in domestic transactions with customers and interact with foreign customers in the field of exports.
The key to successful and meaningful negotiations is having a strong relationship with suppliers or producers of products.
It is important to discuss specific topics with suppliers in order to easily source products and deliver them to the market at the best price.
The first step is establishing a connection with a supplier you are familiar with.
Next, you must know how to negotiate in order to start your business activities, establish desirable relationships, and engage in suitable collaborations with suppliers.
Always keep in mind that until you have a lead and signals and have not established contact with the customer, do not approach the supplier for price inquiries.
The reason for avoiding this is that when you inquire about the price and do not make a purchase, the supplier sees you as a weak or insincere trader only looking for prices.
The question arises, what should be done to prevent such occurrences?
When a customer reaches out to you, first ensure what product with what specifications and price range they are looking for.
Once you have confirmed the customer's needs and concerns, you can then source the product from the market based on the requested volume.
The next important point is that when you receive the price and product specifications from the supplier, never promise a definite purchase.
In your negotiations, be sure to mention that if the price and conditions are suitable, you may consider working with them.
At this stage, never ask for discounts or price changes.
Because using such language indicates weakness and unprofessionalism on your part.
Finally, after announcing the price to the customer and receiving a definitive response, inform the supplier that the price is agreeable and the purchase will be made, or tell them that your price is not very suitable.
Here, the supplier will either lower the price of the product or ask for your preferred price.
Ultimately, with ongoing negotiations with the customer and being aware of their proposed price, you can easily proceed with your business negotiations.
