4. Everything Stems from Beliefs.
Hardly a day passes without us providing evidence and reasons from the Book of God, the words of the Prophet and his family (peace and blessings upon them), or from logic and human experience regarding the excellence and virtues of trade compared to other activities.
Yet, we still observe that some people, including some Aradi traders, do not commit to trade as much as they should. Instead, they seem more motivated in non-trade pursuits.
Even though their intellectual growth and personal development are evident through listening to podcasts, watching videos, and reading texts—and they themselves admit this—they still show more interest and passion for spending time on Instagram and purposeless web surfing than engaging with the Arad website.
So, let us not look far if we wish to understand why some of our customers, despite our comprehensive demonstrations of superiority over others, do not choose us and instead opt for others.
Undoubtedly, none of you can match Arad’s level in providing trust-building documentation and essential trade materials. Yet, all of you have at some point experienced a greater inclination toward worthless internet sites and meaningless Instagram pages than visiting Arad’s website.
If you understand what drives you internally toward the unproductive and distances you from the beneficial, you will grasp what happens in the minds of your customers.
5. What is Delusion?
In the human mind, there exist two faculties: the intellect (reason) and delusion (imagination).
God created intellect to address general matters and delusion to deal with specific details.
According to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), God created angels from intellect and devils from delusion.
When intellect dominates delusion, both general and specific matters in a person’s life are well-organized, as delusion operates under the supervision of intellect. However, when the opposite occurs, the devil gains control over a person, steering their specifics in a direction contrary to their established universal truths.
For example, when you find yourself watching purposeless Instagram clips, you are fully aware that they are of no benefit and are unworthy of your commercial dignity and character—yet you still watch them.
Why?
Because in that moment, your delusional faculty has overpowered your intellect. However, this state does not last long; after minutes, hours, or even a day, your intellect regains control, prompting you to realize these activities are worthless, whereas the Arad website is beneficial. Hence, you return to the site.
6. The Root of Fear Lies in Delusion.
The reason many people don’t start trading, and why many customers hesitate to work with you, is fear.
In Persian, fear is also called vahemeh, which shares the same root as delusion (vahm).
They say that someone is full of fear and apprehension.
Similarly, in Arabic, fear is referred to as khawf.
God identifies the root of this fear as stemming solely from Satan and states:
“It is only the Evil One that suggests to you the fear of his votaries: Be ye not afraid of them, but fear Me, if ye have Faith.” Surah Al-Imran, Verse 175
The word “Innama” in the verse indicates that the root of fear comes exclusively from Satan.
However, it is important to note that Satan has no influence over the allies of God—he only has power over his own followers.
God commands us not to fear Satan.
When fear overtakes us, it is because our delusional faculty surpasses our intellect.
In such moments, we often act irrationally, doing things we know are not logical but still pursue them.
God identifies the only way to overcome this as fearing Him.
But all of you, dear readers, know that fear of God is not akin to fearing animals like mice, dogs, or snakes.
Instead, it is like the fear a lover has of displeasing their beloved—dreading that their actions might cause their beloved to turn away or withhold their tender gaze.
This is the essence of fearing God.
To fear that He may withhold His special grace, leave us in our ignorance and misguidance, or limit His boundless mercy toward us.
Otherwise, we all know that God does not commit even the slightest injustice.
The utmost that God does to His disobedient servants is to leave them to their own devices and withdraw His presence, leaving them solely to the interactions with other creations.
In simpler terms, God says: “From here on, I am not with you.”
And this abandonment is more terrifying than any other frightening event, even one filled with the worst injustices.
Oh Lord, we are willing to endure the worst injustices from the worst of Your creations, but please, do not withhold Your gaze full of grace and kindness from us.
Do not leave us alone against the devils, whether human or jinn.
This is a time when trade has become alienated. People pursue everything except commerce.
Satan has mobilized his followers in every direction, leaving trade neglected.
We are among the few who stand firm on the path of Your Prophet, so have mercy on us and do not abandon us. Without You, we are already lonely, and if You leave us too, we will be utterly powerless.
If we find ourselves isolated in this path of trade—the path of Your Prophet and one Your Book advocates in countless ways—it is because this path has been concealed from us. Previously, we neither investigated deeply nor placed our trust where it belonged. Instead, we accepted what we were told without scrutiny.
7. O God of Joseph
O God, who by Your greatness and grace saved Joseph (peace be upon him) from the depths of a deep well without causing any harm to his body, even though his brothers had thrown him in out of jealousy,
We experience similar stories in our lives, where those around us do everything in their power to separate us from trade. And when we say we want to become workers or employees somewhere, they react with such excitement and encouragement that it feels as though we've won the gold medal in the Olympics.
So, just as You showed mercy to Joseph (peace be upon him), have mercy on us as well.
And O dear Aradis
Have you noticed that God saved Joseph (peace be upon him) through the blessing of trade?
Have you seen the role trade played in Joseph’s honor and greatness?
I know some may think in their hearts, "This Mr. Ahmadi always wants to associate everything with trade," but what can I do when God has connected everything to trade?
If you read God’s Book again, you’ll find that when it mentions the story of Joseph’s rescue from the well, it says:
“Then there came a caravan of travellers: they sent their water-carrier [for water], and he let down his bucket [into the well] … He said: “Ah there! Good news! Here is a [fine] young man!” So they concealed him as a treasure! But Allah knoweth well all that they do!”
“The [Brethren] sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him!” Surah Yusuf, Verses 19 and 20
The question here is: What kind of caravan was this passing by?
Was there a pilgrimage caravan that, for example, wanted to go from a city to Mecca?!!!
Or was there a recreational caravan that had organized a tour to Antalya?!!!
And this caravan was nothing other than a commercial caravan.
This is evident in the following verse, where it mentions that the caravan’s activity was buying and selling, and they eventually sold Joseph (peace be upon him).
If the traders of that time had not been engaged in commerce, this caravan would never have passed by, and Joseph would have remained in the bottom of the well.
Thus, God saved Joseph (peace be upon him) through the blessing of trade.
8. Women Who Are Wiser Than Men
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) was sitting in a gathering and said:
"There may be a woman who is more knowledgeable than a man."
You should not look at today when such words can be spoken; rather, if you go back 1400 years to the time of the Arabs, who would bury their daughters alive, this statement would have been very difficult for them to accept, that someone would say that women could be more knowledgeable and wiser than men.
And this statement of the Imam caused a great uproar.
Many of the opponents and haters conspired to use this statement of the Imam to tarnish his reputation, portraying it as something against the Quran.
In one of the gatherings where he was present, many people mockingly and sarcastically asked, "O Aba Abdullah, is it true that you said there may be women who are wiser than men?"
The Imam replied, "Yes, this is my statement."
They said, "You have always claimed that you never speak except that it is an interpretation of the words of God."
The Imam said, "Exactly, that is what you say."
They then asked, "So, for this statement, tell us where in the book of God it says that women may be wiser than men?"
The Imam said: "When Joseph (peace be upon him) was taken out of the well by a group of men, who, though merchants, were superior in intellect to other men, God says: 'And they sold him for a paltry price, a few silver coins.'"
But when this same young man was presented before a group of women, God says:
"When they saw him, they did extol him, and [in their amazement] cut their hands: they said, “Allah preserve us! no mortal is this! this is none other than a noble angel!" And they offered high prices for buying and selling him. Surah Yusuf, Verse 31
However, when he was in the hands of men, they said: "This is a slave."
The men saw him as a slave and offered a low price for him, but the women recognized him as a noble angel and offered a high price for him.
Do you not agree that some women are wiser than men?
Upon hearing this, the opponents became silent and dispersed.
