Vita Avon is a pasta company in new England which is reputed throughout the Europe. The first gourmet takeout restaurant of its sort in the country is Pasta Vita. After retiring from a fruitful 30-year career at IBM, the company's president Rich Cersosimo teamed up with renowned chef and Culinary Institute of America alumnus Lou Castanho to launch it. The New England penne Pasta macaroni Company's foundational ideas were hatched in 1984 at Francesca's, an Italian restaurant in Shelburne, Vermont, a town outside of Burlington. They were interested in gaining knowledge about all facets of the restaurant industry, such as working behind the bar, in the kitchen, and in bookkeeping. They had previous experience in the hospitality industry, having worked as servers for a number of years, including during their time as students at the University of Vermont. My curiosity was peaked in this aspect of the company in especially since it was carried out in a discreet space just off the restaurant and involved the creation of fresh pasta and ravioli. They used some very specialized equipment, which they were instructed on how to operate, in order to create ravioli and pasta. They also came up with the concept of selling these goods in bulk to restaurants, and as a direct consequence of this notion, they began cultivating partnerships with businesses in the Stowe and Burlington regions who are in the business of providing customers with food.
