The CPSC plans extensive information activities aimed at manufacturers, importers, and sellers to enforce the new rule, including education about requirements and ensuring they are aware of their compliance obligations. Efforts include direct communication, online resources, and other activities. The Infant Sleep Product Rule requires that any product sold or intended for sleeping meet one or more federal safety standards for cribs (large and small), cribs and cribs, play areas, or sleeping areas and that the product does not yet meet any of the requirements of these requirements, it must meet the safety standards for cots. One goal of the final rule is to make it clear to consumers which products are certified to meet the CPSC Sleep Standard, regardless of the product name or advertisement. The proliferation of different physical products with similar names (especially “Kosyczki”), the many suppliers in the market, and the variety of new products each season reflect the competitive market for innovative sleep products. New sleeping products have been launched to meet the need for a small, portable space for sleeping or sleeping.
