3. Arad’s Special Gift for Student Day
We firmly believe that the true students are you, the members of Arad.
You are the ones who, without any claims, seek daily the knowledge that leads to your true salvation—an economic salvation that you have rightly and truthfully discovered in trade.
On the occasion of Student Day and as a token of appreciation for your passion and dedication, Arad plans to provide files in MP3 and PDF formats several days a week, similar to those mentioned in sections 1 and 2, to all Arad members. However, since these files are particularly essential for newcomers compared to long-time members, they will be labeled as "Special for Newcomers."
We hope that by listening to these podcasts, recorded by senior managers, and reading the articles, written by my humble self, we can play a more impactful role in your growth and prosperity, dear friends.
To business enterprises, we recommend paying close attention to the newcomer-specific podcasts and PDFs uploaded on the site, as you interact daily with people unfamiliar with Arad.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on Student Day and wish that your knowledge of trade grows day by day, as this directly translates to the growth of your wealth.
4. Warming Up Before Starting Trade
You must have noticed how athletes warm up before stepping onto the field. It’s said that entering the game without warming up can lead to injury.
Why is it that we all understand this principle for sports, but some among us in Arad fail to accept the need for warming up before work, especially a field like trade?
Isn’t trade built on two pillars.
- Intellect
- Expression
Haven’t you heard the saying, “He’s just getting warmed up” about someone speaking?
You’ve probably experienced public speaking—it feels tough at first, but once you get into the flow, someone might need to take the mic away from you!
Just as this applies to expression, it equally applies to intellect. Intellect, too, requires warming up.
This warming up requires time.
Islam emphasizes early rising and considers it a reason for increased sustenance, yet we see some people mocking this idea.
They compare this principle to jobs whose total income barely amounts to a fraction of God’s provision and say, “It didn’t make a difference here.”
Well, dear friend, let’s examine this principle in the context of trade. Why are you comparing it to municipal cleaning jobs?
Why are you comparing it to labor or office work?
Imam Reza (AS) says that one who hires themselves out to another has limited their sustenance and left it in the hands of their employer, removing God’s direct role in their provision.
Now, whether this hired worker, be it an employee or a laborer, wakes up early or not makes no difference, as their sustenance has been removed from God’s provision and placed in the hands of their employer.
Don’t look at this.
Look at the trader who is free and has not made themselves a slave or subordinate to anyone else.
Now, consider a trader who wakes early versus one who wakes late.
When the trader wakes early, they spend the extra time warming up their mind and speech.
For instance, let’s assume people usually wake between 8 and 10 AM, and customer and supplier calls and chats begin around that time.
This trader, however, wakes at 5 AM, performs their prayers, recites dhikr, and warms up their speech through these invocations.
Moreover, staying awake during the early morning hours (between dawn and sunrise) and reflecting on God’s blessings or their trade warms up their reasoning.
By 8 AM, they are prepared and well-equipped for trading.
Now, consider another trader who only wakes between 10 and 12 PM.
By the time their mind and speech are warmed up, it’s already 2 PM. Banks are closed, and if they need to make a payment, they face significant challenges.
This is why we strongly emphasize reading Arad’s website updates in the morning instead of at night.
Some may ask, “What difference does it make whether we read in the morning or at night? Isn’t it enough that we read at all?”
Of course, simply reading is commendable—may God bless your—but these updates, whether in the form of articles, videos, or announcements, are designed to stimulate your reasoning.
Writing comments further helps warm up your speech. While your tongue may be silent while typing, you’ll notice that you unconsciously read the words aloud as you write. Reading the comments of other Aradis further sharpens your expression.
The half hour you spent reading the text, thinking for a moment, leaving a comment, and reading a few comments makes it clear that not only has your mind warmed up, but your language is also starting to flow.
Now you are ready to negotiate with customers, talk to suppliers, and these are all essential skills for a trader.
According to this logic, leaving comments is highly recommended every morning for all dear Aradis.
Those who consistently comment every morning can confirm the accuracy of the writer’s words, as reading content and commenting early in the morning is much more effective than doing it late at night.
So remember, to start business, warming up is necessary, but unlike most people whose jobs don't involve much use of their intellect and are manual, morning exercise is quite suitable for them. As for you, dear traders, who deal with your intellect and speech, you can warm up through thinking, reciting, reading the site's news, and leaving comments.
Get used to this routine for a while, and then you’ll notice how differently you negotiate with your customers, to the point where they will also confirm how energetic and lively you are.
So never forget to warm up your mind and language before speaking with customers and suppliers.
And may the soul of the entire world be humbled in sacrifice for a single lock of hair of Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali, peace be upon him.
It is narrated that although he ruled over more than 70 countries, every morning, before the traders arrived at the market in Kufa, he would be there, waiting for them to come.
Then, he would personally move through the markets.
Imagine, the king would be present every morning before the traders in their midst.
Do you know what this signifies in terms of the level of value and respect a government places on its traders?
What would the traders be like in such a government?
What would the economy of such people look like?
I’m sure that during that time, ordinary people, knowing that the Caliph of the Muslims came to the traders every morning, would choose to enter trade just to be closer to the government and power.
They would enter trade just to be near the Caliph, but they would truly become traders.
Now, do you think that Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who moved among them, aside from paying attention to their words and listening to their concerns, would repeat what advice to them every day?
Historians and narrators of Hadith have reported that every day he would repeat one saying, while also saying other things that were not repeated.
But the recurring advice every day was:
He would say, "O group of traders, first acquire deep knowledge and understanding of trade, then engage in trade." He would repeat this three times.
This commercial wisdom is like the warming up that a trader must perform every day. For Imam Ali (peace be upon him) would repeat this advice daily, emphasizing that if a trader does not have this deep understanding, it is like a player who enters the field without warming up – they will either get injured or, even if not injured, will lack the necessary efficiency.
Another saying is also narrated, which he would mention on most days:
O group of traders,
1. At the beginning of your trade, seek goodness from Allah.
2. Increase your blessings by making trade easy.
3. Draw closer to your customers.
4. Adorn yourselves with patience and endurance.
5. Do not swear oaths.
6. Do not lie.
7. Avoid injustice.
8. Pay the rights of the oppressed from your wealth.
9. Do not approach usury.
10. Weigh your products and measurements accurately.
11. Do not engage in cheating or shortchanging.
12. And with the wealth Allah has granted you, do not spread corruption upon His earth.
The first saying, along with these 12 principles, if they become the manifesto of us Aradi members, we will control the economy of Iran and the world, and no one will dare bypass us and work with others unless they are foolish.
5. Special for Business Enterprises.
You honorable individuals, who are truly at the forefront of economy and trade, and all merchants owe their success to your esteemed presence, have two crucial responsibilities.
- Speaking with people and adding new members to your business enterprise.
- Consulting, guiding, and directing this new member until they become strong and reach the level of trade or become a merchant.
Now, let me describe a scenario for you, and I ask you to vividly imagine this situation.
Imagine that the Arad Branding media department, like today, doesn't produce any films to be featured in the news section of the website.
Of course, the reason for not having a video in today’s news is that it’s to highlight the podcast and special article for newcomers on Student Day, but now, imagine if the media unit completely shuts down and no films are produced.
Imagine there is no business school, no podcast, and in short, it's just you, all alone, with no files or documents available.
How difficult would it be to speak with people and invite them into business?
Even if you invite them, what kind of promotion would they enter with?
Even if they do join, how difficult will it be to manage this person without the films from the media unit, the business school, and the other resources from the website?
How much energy will it take to turn this person into a merchant without these resources?
How likely is it that this person will give up and not wait to become a merchant due to the absence of media support?
We say all of this to highlight just how significant the impact of media is on your work, dear business enterprises.
Without this media, both the quantity and quality of members, as well as their businesses, would face serious challenges.
But, thank God, this scenario is not the case, and you do not have to envision running your business enterprise in such a way.
The point here is: when there is such a capacity, have you, as business enterprises, fully utilized this capacity, or are you using just part of it and neglecting the rest?
What has been reported to me from the independent media unit is that less than 5% of the media capacity is being utilized to invite people to trade and manage members, except in cases where business enterprises...
Arad knows that business enterprises are constantly speaking with people and members on the phone, so they don't fully utilize the media’s maximum potential. Otherwise, this shortcoming is not for any negative or bad reason.
They're so busy throughout the day that either they forget, or they don’t have enough time.
No matter how much we insist, it’s executed for one day, and the next day, it’s the same situation again.
Arad has created media platforms to make things easier for you business enterprises. These platforms take on the media responsibilities that were originally supposed to be handled by you, so that your work becomes easier.
Two Telegram channels have been established, one for Aradis, and there is no need for anyone who isn’t an Aradi to join it.
This means that as long as someone hasn’t entered trade, joining this Telegram channel is pointless and useless. However, as soon as they join Arad, they must become a member of this channel.
And that is the channel in which all of you, dear ones, are members, God willing.
The Telegram channel for Aradis is:
The name of this channel is: Aradis
In addition to being part of the above channel, Aradis must also be present in another channel designed for all people in Iran.
The address of this second Telegram channel is:
The name of this channel is: Nine-tenths of wealth is in trade.
This second channel is especially suitable for those who haven’t yet entered trade.
Arad has set up these two channels and manages them by publishing engaging content daily, ensuring that the majority of the audience understands how relevant and useful these channels are for the purpose for which they were created.
Now, the point is: as business enterprises, what responsibility do you have toward these two channels and the people, so that if you fulfill this responsibility properly, your financial productivity will also grow significantly?
All you need to do is emphasize membership in these channels during your phone conversations, whether with members or with people.
For members, emphasize joining the "Aradis" channel.
For those who haven't joined yet, emphasize the "Nine-tenths of wealth is in trade" channel.
Please read this carefully so you don’t make a mistake and mix things up.
Those who have promotions should join both the "Aradis" channel and the "Nine-tenths of wealth is in trade" channel. However, those who don’t have a promotion yet should only join the "Nine-tenths of wealth is in trade" channel and should not join the "Aradis" channel.
If you make this emphasis in your phone conversations with members and people, you’ll see how much more easily and confidently they will talk to you.
People who only judge you by your voice will initially ask, “How do I know you’re not a scammer?”
But if they just spend 10 minutes on the "Nine-tenths of wealth is in trade" channel, it will be impossible for them to even think of a scam related to Arad, unless they have no common sense. In that case, it’s better they don’t enter trade at all because they will be a burden to both you and us.
While Arad wants people to become merchants, I’m sure the leaders at Arad don’t want us to be frustrated. Between us being frustrated and them becoming merchants, they would definitely choose not to frustrate us.
