So the successful trader isn't the one who arrogantly waits to be greeted; rather, it's the one who with humility and wisdom initiates the greeting and paves the way for interaction.

A. Arrogance: Considering greeting as others' duty

God says in a sacred hadith:
"Pride is My cloak and majesty is My garment; whoever competes with Me in either of them, I will cast into Hell"

"I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right"

B. Shyness: Being afraid to greet first
Some traders are truly polite people but are shy and timid.
They say: "What if I greet them and they don't respond, I'll be embarrassed," or "I don't know how to start a conversation."

Imam Ali (AS) said:
"Excessive modesty prevents sustenance"
Excessive shyness and modesty prevent provision and livelihood.

If shyness has been ingrained in you since childhood, now is the time to abandon it because in business, those who can't communicate become paralyzed.
C. Laziness: Sitting and waiting for others to come to you
Some are neither arrogant nor shy; they're just lazy.

They want to sit, fold their hands, not post stories, not share posts, not create professional content, and yet still have customers come.
This view is extremely dangerous because it deceives the person into thinking "This is the way" when it's not.
In the Quran, God says:
"And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for"
For humans, there's nothing except the result of their own efforts.
And in a hadith:
"Indeed, Allah hates the idle, sleepy slave"
God hates a slave who is idle and sleepy.
