8. About the President's remarks

In the film you saw at the beginning of the news, Dr. Pezeshkian referenced the precious words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in his famous letter to Malik Ashtar. He emphasized that if there were no traders and producers, where would my money be for me to sit and manage it?

In his speech, he addressed topics that have rarely been discussed by officials.

The topics he discussed were so fresh and novel for the attendees that some of them became exuberantly excited and happy, while on the other hand, his words did not resonate at all with a group of rigid-minded individuals, who were upset about why he was saying such things.

If you pay attention, he clearly states: Imam Ali (peace be upon him) divided the people of society into categories.

In this categorization, he mentioned that we have soldiers.

"Soldiers" refers to the military forces, law enforcement, and the army in our country.

We have tax collectors, which includes the entire financial and tax teams.

We have workers, meaning government employees in all sectors.

We have writers, which includes all writers, artists, and those in the fields of culture and literature.

We have judges, meaning all judges and employees of the judiciary.

He then pointed out that the Imam (peace be upon him) assigned duties and guidelines for all of these.

However, the Imam (peace be upon him) then states:

"There is no sustenance for all these occupations and categories except through traders and industrialists."

This means there is no stability or permanence for these occupations.

In other words, all occupations in society owe their existence to traders and industrialists.

That the Imam (peace be upon him) first mentions traders and then he mentions industrialists.

In a common perspective, there should first be production, and then trade; meaning production comes first, followed by the trading of the produced goods.

However, the Imam (peace be upon him) initially acknowledges traders and then producers.

In simpler terms, all the life, sustenance, and salaries that all mentioned professions, including military, civil servants, and members of the judiciary, receive are due to the merchants and producers.

And these words, expressed by our President, were heavy for many owners of these jobs, implying that we are dependent on merchants and producers.

The President clearly stated that if there were no traders and producers to pay taxes, where would my funds come from for me to sit down and manage?

This implies that he even considered himself indebted to the efforts of traders and producers.

Interestingly, he went further, indicating that without merchants, none of these entities could stand on their own.

Then he mentions the army, the government, and the system.

He also pointed out that it is for the grace of exporters, traders, and industrialists that the government, offices, and hospitals operate and thrive.

I truly recommend watching this film more than ten times.

The words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in letter 53 of Nahj al-Balagha state that he first refers to the soldiers and considers their sustainability to be contingent upon the expenditures provided by taxpayers.

Then he links the sustainability and strength of these two groups to a third group, which includes government employees, scribes, writers, and judges.

Then he articulates the sustainability and strength of all of these groups as follows:

"No sustainability is there for all of them except through merchants and industrialists.

For they provide the means of living.

And they maintain them from their markets.

And by doing things that others are incapable of, they create comfort and prosperity in people's lives and provide for their needs."

Thus, merchants have things and perform tasks and possess strengths that others do not.

Take a moment to think about what you, the traders, have that other professions do not?

Don’t you take pleasure in the fact that the pride of both worlds, the leader of the universe, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), has thus favored you and considered you superior to all other groups of people, linking the stability of all of them to your existence?

What a charming Imam we have, who articulated the path to our happiness several centuries ago! How far has our country strayed from our Imam’s guidance, that when our President expresses these words, it astonishes those present, some rejoicing, and others feeling envy?

Haven’t they read Nahj al-Balagha that they are so surprised?

Or perhaps they read it but overlooked its meanings?

Nahj al-Balagha is not a new book that we can say its author has just written or that it has emerged during the Islamic Republic.

The late Seyyed Razi (may Allah elevate his status), who lived over a thousand years ago, from 359 to 406 AH, collected the words of our master and leader and named it Nahj al-Balagha.

However, the message from the writing team to all esteemed Aradi traders is that, beyond any political inclination, whenever you see a responsible person eloquently and articulately addressing the significance of trade and the traders’ class in society, stand fully with them—even if you previously had differences with them.

If you hear them say something contrary to the Book of God and the traditions of the Prophet, simply disregard that statement and ignore it; for traders deserve not to engage in conflict, even if your beloved President makes such statements.

For us Aradi traders, the foundation is the sustainability of Islam and Iran, which relies on the prosperity of trade and production.

It does not matter who the President is; what matters is that they work towards the expansion of trade culture and facilitate matters for traders to assist Islam and eliminate poverty from the Iranian people.

Hearing such statements at this current stage, when there hasn’t been such clarity before, shows that this President is seriously committed to trade and is operating under the leadership's direction, as our esteemed leader identified the roots of the country's economic problems as a lack of dynamism in foreign trade, and it is evident that the President wants to address this issue.

Consider this alignment with Arad Branding's promotional services and festival initiatives.

What will happen in 2025?

I swear to God, I cannot even imagine another year where Arad and Aradi traders will have such a lofty position in Iran and the world.

It is unfortunate for anyone who allows this dignity and glory to be wasted on the trivial words of those around them and distances themselves from trade and their connection to Arad.

No relationship is without conflict, and business partnerships are no exception. When conflicts do arise, address them promptly and constructively.
