A ceramic baking dish was used for the baking of my cake. You are free to use whichever pan you prefer as long as it has a diameter of 9 inches. Because of the differences between oven models, the amount of time required to bake this cake could be different from one model to the next. If you find that your cake is browning too rapidly, you can easily prevent this by placing a sheet of aluminum foil on top of it before continuing to bake it. The deliciously moist texture of the cake is due in large part to the sliced apples. It can be kept in a cool place for two to three days if it is sealed tightly in an airtight container, or it can be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days. If you live in a warm climate, it is best to keep it in the refrigerator. This fresh apple cake can be frozen for up to one month before it loses its texture and flavor. After it has been baked, it should be allowed to completely cool before being wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. Before serving, make sure that it has been brought to room temperature.
