That's why the sump pump has a filter on its inlet called a strainer, but the sewage pump does not have such a thing. The second difference between the sewage and the sump pump is in their types of impellers. Semi-open or closed impellers are used for the sump pump, while open impellers are used for the sewage pump to facilitate the fluid transfer. Other types of impellers used for sewage pumps are duct impellers, which help to transfer heavy fluids much better. On the other hand, there are differences not only in the type of impeller but also in the number of impellers. Almost no one wants to use a sewage pump to transfer sludge or sewage to very high points, but to empty pools and well from sewage.

The compressor blows the air to the opening of the sewage pipe at a pressure of 3 to 5 atmosphere. Air enters the pipe, and the wastewater enters the pipe and mixes with the sewage, it is reducing the gravity of the mixture and causes the sewage and suspended materials to be directed upwards. 3. helicoidal pumps or Archimedean pumps are the oldest types of pumps used in the world.
