Ingredients 7 ounces (US) (200 grams) The olive oil (Grade A) 15 milligrams (142 grams) of Organic Babassu Oil Fifteen milligrams (142 grams) of Cocoa Butter. Ten ounces (US) (3 grams) Stearic acid is an acid. fifty ounces (15 grams) Oil extracted from Cranberry Seeds 7 5/8 pounds (21 grams) BBW Type Fragrance Oil with Notes of Winter Apple Candy 15 milligrams (142 grams) of water 1 ounce (30 grams) apple cider, frozen One tablespoon (15 ml) of applesauce That's 2.5 ounces (71 grams) Lye \sDirections In a slow cooker on high, combine the stearic acid, cocoa butter, and babassu and melt them together. Once all the oils have melted completely, reduce the heat to low and add all the olive oil. Lye should be added after water, and apple cider has been combined. Let liquid cool for 30 minutes. While stirring the mixture slowly, carefully add the lye water into the slow cooker. Use a stick blender to combine the oils and water until they form an emulsion. After adding the apple sauce, continue combining the ingredients until the liquid has the consistency of custard. Wrap the inside of the slow cooker with plastic wrap, or cover it with the lid. (The pot will be pretty hot, so use care.) Reduce the heat to a simmer. Maintain constant vigilance over the soap while it is in the oven for the next hour. As the soap moves through the various stages of the cooking process, it will start to adhere to the sides of the pot. If the soap begins to rise too near to the top of the pot, give it a little stir to push it back down, and then continue cooking it; otherwise, let the soap boil without being stirred. At this stage, the soap should have the consistency of applesauce or mashed potatoes and should nearly have a fluffy appearance. Cranberry seed oil and fragrance oil should then be added, and the mixture should be well combined using a spatula. Immediately place the soap in the mold. To ensure that the soap is spread uniformly and to eliminate any air pockets, press the mixture several times and then push it into the corners of the mold. Give the soap a whole night to chill and set before using it. After the soap has had time to harden and become cold, it should be unfurled and cut into bars. The bars may be used immediately after they have been made, but they will become even more durable if they are allowed to cool and cure for an extra week. Instructions for Making Apple-Scented Soap Shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax pellets should be placed in a bowl appropriate for microwave use. (I used a big measuring cup made of Pyrex.)
